Crickett

I've had many dogs over my 37 years, and loved many.  Crickett was a special dog.  I remember the first day David brought her home.  She was so sweet.  She loved me so much too.  I think she knew how much I loved her too.  She would sleep right up beside me every night like a little baby.  I think out of all the dogs I've ever had she probably loved me the most.  One day I think she will be waiting for me if there is a doggie Heaven!  I do believe in Doggie Heaven!

Crickett was so pretty.  She reminds me of a dog my dad had, so faithful.  He wouldn't leave my dad's side at all, and this was when my dad had cancer.  I'm sure the two are keeping each other company. :-)  Just as Crickett will be there for you.

Aww cute pic of Cricket! All of my dogs were cockapoo and one was pekinese. There was Muffin, Betty Davis, and Picante. OK... so I only had three. LOL Now I have a cockatiel and a beta. My cockatiel is a widow. She killed her husband Mad Max over the Caged Dome.

I do believe our much loved and well missed, precious dogs, are waiting for us.  "Harley," my first Yorkie, was killed just this past November.  Someone sent me this poem... not sure if you've read this before...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been
especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge

There are meadows and hills for all
of our special friends so they can run
and play together.

There is plenty of food, water
and sunshine, and our friends
are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill
and old are restored to health and vigor.

Those who were hurt or maimed
are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams
of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content,
except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special
to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes
when one suddenly stops and looks
into the distance. His bright eyes are intent.

His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from
the group, flying over the green grass,
his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when
you and your special friend
finally meet, you cling together
in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes
of your pet,so long gone from your life
but never absent from your heart

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

There is a great book called Dog Heaven.  It's a children's book, but I give it to friends who need it when their doggies cross the rainbow bridge.  Check it out.
