These two cousins just love each other. Eli is crazy about Autumn, and Autumn really loves Eli, although she makes sure she is the boss. They both had lots of fun letting me take pictures of them, they thougth this pose up.

I was at least 16 before I learned to drive. I wish they had things like this when I was little. Makes me wonder if he'll be driving one of those land cruisers like in Star Wars by the time he's 16.
I took lots of pictures, I'm busy editing them. I'll just go ahead and put one in from the sunset on Christmas eve, one of the most beautiful I've seen. Much more to come in the next few day, I'm pooped and have to hit the sack.
Little Big Man is Ethan, he's walking around everywhere now, I think his favorite word was "Hot", I loved when I swoop him up and talk to him in a whisper, he makes little whisper sounds right back to me. This kid loves too eat. He makes this wonderful ahhh sound evertime you show him a piece of food. I see my Papa when I look in his eyes, but I also see myself, from pictures I've seen of myself when I was this age.
Well since I wasn't able to post on Monday, and it's finally working now. This was taken on a trip to New York on July 4th. This landmark for me was one of the most outstanding landmarks that was manmade I've ever been too. I didn't get to go up to the top, it was so hot that day, but I did get to go up at least half way. She was quite beautiful, and I took quite a few shots, I'll scan the rest of them, and put them in this entry as well. Our lady liberty! I'll never forget this day.
Well I didn't take this picture. I did clean it up a bit, it was in my old baby book, all scratched, and no color to it, so I added some color to it and took most of the scratches out. I look scared.
When I lived at the beach this was my view when I walked across the street to stare at the beach and the moonlight. There was a new beauty each night. A wabi sabi beauty. I used to get home have my dinner go jog, and then just sit for an hour staring at the moon over the ocean or the stars in the sky. Looking at the picture makes me think of those fleeting moments of happiness. The shore with it's new footprints in the sand.

Well Summer is gone, but there is still Autumn, she was having such a fun time down at the Jacksonville landing. I think I told her not to get in the fountain, did she listen? Nope!
I took this last time I was home, She was Catwoman this weekend for Halloween, and she went out again tonight, as a little girl from the 60's with the poodle skirt, I'll post those as soon as Sherry sends some.
Hey, you feeling goofy? If your answer is yes, then you're in luck with the week's Photo Shoot:
Your Monday Photo Shoot: Get a picture of yourself or a loved one making a truly goofy face. Because why not? We could all use a chuckle. This is not unlike the previous Photo Shoot where I asked folks to show a good cathartic yell; maybe one day we'll collect them in a coffee table book called "Emotional AOL." Yeah, that's it. We'll sell a million!
I know she's going to kill me, or better yet she may try and get even. But this is my lovely sister Sherry, making one of her many crazy faces, hmm, I think I'll put two on here. I can't figure out which one is the most goofy!
I loved the way this came out, it reminds me of a character in a children's book. Autumn In Wonderland.
There's a coolness in the air. Winter is right around the corner. The coolness reminds me of this picture I took of Eli last winter.
I've posted a few pictures of this family before, I saw a copy of this picture from a newspaper years ago. I looked and looked for a original copy of the picture. Today one of my wonderful cousin Judy who also does genealogy, made my day and sent it to me. It's still quite old, I worked on it some, trying to lighten it up some. I always heard they had just gone to church and their horse and buggy was behind them in the picture. Apparently though they had gone to the fair and got this picture taken. Wonder if they all fit on the horse and buggy?
This is kind of fun, Sherry looks like Julia Roberts here to me.
92 years ago a wonderful man was born, My grandfather, or as we all called him Papa. He's been on my min a lot today. I sure have missed him. But he's up in heaven with my Mema.
Just so you can get an idea how tall these works of art are. They are tree level. I'm tall but I come to their knees. I'm 6ft4".
This is not a photograph of a painting, it is a photograph of a giant 20 foot statue of art. I felt like someone from Liliput standing beside them. J Steward Johnson has an exhibit at the Cummer Museum of Art. With giant works of art of VanGogh, Renoir, and more. This was one of my favorite's. This was a two story statue as tall as the tree's, I'll post more picture later that will show the true dimension of these statues. But it was a awesome feeling that you were a fly so to speak in the painting.
Seems wedding have been on the brain lately. I was thinking about how pretty Sherry was on her wedding. I'm still working on her scrapbook of her wedding, hoping to have it done by December. This one was a few seconds before she said "I Do!"
What an emotional and beautiful time. I bet it's hard to come down from it after something so wonderful and beautiful, sharing it with all those you love. She really was beeming of love and light.
This is one of my favorite pictures I took of my sister Dena, Eli and Ethan's mom. I love the leaves in the background.
Anytime I start missing Autumn, Eli, or Ethan, I just pull up these pictures I've taken of them and it makes me feel closer to them.
I played around with a couple diffrent things, but ended up just posting this one of the quaint little village of Helen, Georgia.
This picture makes me remember Mema, she loved these cheese crackers it was one of her favorite snacks. Now it's one of Eli's favorite snacks. I love this picture it just has a glow to it.
Look at this photograph, what secrets does this family hold. There are many. Family secrets, we all have them. This is my great great grandfather's family. Should I tell them. There are many that I've found out being the genealogist. There are sad stories, happy stories, and secrets. Lula Payne was my Papa's aunt, he was named after her, so he passed the family secret on to me. The family secret had to do with guns. Back in those days most people carried guns. Guns brought much heartache in those days as it does in the 21st century. Loss of life due to guns touched everyone in this family. One lost their life due to guns. Many in this picture took a life because of guns. Two were accidents, other's were to protect the ones they loved. The beautiful woman in the top right is my great grandmother Annie, my Papa's mom. Wasn't she beautiful? The picture below is of Lula Payne Ennis Giles, cause of death, gun accident.
