Walk Into Art

Renoir - Dance at Bougival REP003 ... Image Loading

This is not a photograph of a painting, it is a photograph of a giant 20 foot statue of art.  I felt like someone from Liliput standing beside them. J Steward Johnson has an exhibit at the Cummer Museum of Art.  With giant works of art of VanGogh, Renoir, and more.  This was one of my favorite's.  This was a two story statue as tall as the tree's, I'll post more picture later that will show the true dimension of these statues.  But it was a awesome feeling that you were a fly so to speak in the painting.

At first glance, this reminded me of Renoir's"Dance in the country".

Oh Derek.  I've been meaning to attend that exhibit.  I pass that giant statue of the two dancers every single day.  I can't wait to go.  I didn't think they allowed cameras inside the Cummer.

Oh I love those and where might this exhibit be?   I truly thought it was a painting, can't even imagine it being a statue bigger than life.

Hand in hand they danced around,
caught up in the bliss.
Magic moments much to short,
will he get a kiss?
Gracefully they spun around,
while others stood and watched.
While the band kept playing on,
in dreams they both got  lost.
